NOTE: The Park is closed to campers – both RV and tent – during Labor Day weekend due to the Painted Hills Festival. Campers must vacate the park by 10:00am on Friday of Labor Day Weekend and may return on Sunday at noon. Labor Day Weekend Closure for 2026: September 4-5, 2026.
Spaces: 4 RV Hookups with water and electricity (no sewer/gray water), open lawn tent spaces.
Rate: $30/night for RV’s, $15/night for tents. Check Out Time is at 11:00am.
Amenities: Restrooms, Picnic Tables, Playground, BBQ Pits, Pavilion, Water Spigot.
Description: The Mitchell City Park is located in downtown Mitchell along Bridge Creek and has various tent camping possibilities on a soft grass lawn. There are 4 RV spaces with electric and water hook up. The park is well maintained and often used by bicyclists and motorcyclists passing through. There is a water spigot to fill up your water bottles with good drinking water from the town’s spring. There is a well-kept restroom (notice the beautiful art work on it’s walls created by June Nissinen, together with the Mitchell High School students.
**WATER IS SEASONAL. There is no water in the park through the winter months.

RESERVATIONS WILL ONLY BE MADE/CONFIRMED MON-THURS FROM 9:00AM to 2:00PM DUE TO LIMITED STAFFING. WE WILL NOT BE HANDLING ANY RESERVATIONS OUTSIDE OF THESE HOURS. We DO accept first come, first serve, self pay (by cash or check) camping. Pending Park availability.
**Please DO NOT call to make Reservations. Due to very limited staffing, we ONLY handle Reservations via email.

- Email the Mitchell City Clerk at rv.reservations [at] cityofmitchelloregon.com (rv[dot]reservations[at]cityofmitchelloregon[dot]com) to request a payment link. Reservations will ONLY be handled during business hours. Office Hours are Tue-Thurs, 9:00am to 3:00pm.
- Please note "RESERVATIONS" (in all capital letters) in the subject line.
- We need the full name of the person reserving a site.
- The date you are checking in AND the date you will be checking out.

We need the RV/Vehicle license plate number.
**No Reservations will be confirmed outside of normal business hours. If you are trying to book a last minute Reservation, we may not be able to accommodate you.

**There is an additional non-refundable $3.00 fee associated with booking online reservations.
